Indiana Jones and the plot that sucked donkey parts

***spoiler alert***

I took Jack to see Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull today.  There were few Jonesian moments early in the movie that made me think that it might be okay.  Enter the Aliens, exit any remaining chance of a plot.  While it was entertaining, I was pretty disappointed.  National Treasure 2 was much better than this one.  I think it goes back to the other Jones movies were based on some reality but having aliens land and introduce technology to ancient South America???!!!  No.  I wish we had went to Iron Man instead.  In my opinion this is a rent and not a theater movie.  Besides the fact you are going to hear all of the hidden gems in the movie well before you go and see it.

Two stars out of five.

I had to go see it this past weekend with friends and it was undoubtedly one of the WORST movies I have ever seen in my entire life. I wanted to walk out. It was HORRIBLE and stupid. I would have given it -50 stars. It was like a Saturday Night Live skit making FUN of Indiana Jones (and yes I liked the originals). 5 minutes in and I wanted to leave (I would have walked out had I been alone). Whasserface had already slipped on her Russian accent in her first paragraph of dialogue. I kept hoping it would get better but i just got worse. The acting was ATROCIOUS. Especially Karen Allen and that story line was SO RETARDED. I like when they find her and she is just like "So what are you doing here?" and she didn't even look tired or dirty. It was LAND OF THE LOST.

Sooooo the people I went to see it with liked it but I honestly say it is one of the WORST MOVIES EVER. (oh and the skull looks like it is made of plastic with tin foil crammed inside).

And then we saw Iron Man which is absolutely one of the BEST movies I have ever seen. Seriously...run do not walk. I didn't even want to see it and it was F-ing AWESOME.

Ok I am done now. I have been dying to get that out.

Yeah I've only found one "friend" that has actually said it wasn't bad. Everyone I've talked to has had issues with it (and we haven't even started talking about the monkey swinging scene!!!). I'm sad that they waited this long and with the caliber of people involved, they put up a turd-bomb.

Thanks for the info on Iron Man. I'm going to try to get away from work one night this week and see it.

Yea, my coworker said the same thing. He was really disappointed.

Sad. They could have done so much.
